The nearest airports are the Nice Cote d’Azur and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo, which are connected to the main Italian cities and European capitals.


In particular, the Nice airport is located about 50 km from the city of San Remo and offers connections with both the major international airports and with the French capital.  At the Nice airport such services are availble as taxicabs, car rentals, and a shuttle line to the train station (line 98), from where there is a train connection directly to San Remo.

From the airport of Genoa, car rental service is available, as well as the Volabus service  which connects the airport and the train station of Genoa Porta Principe, from where San Remo is easily accessible.  Another option is a direct bus line that stops at the toll booth of Arma di Taggia – East San Remo (; phone 010/561661)

 The stopover of Villanova d’Albenga offers direct connections to Rome Fiumicino as well as to other Italian and European destinations.

The Milan Malpensa airport is a convenient node as well, being located slightly more than 2 hours away from San Remo by car.  From the Milan airport, the Milan Cadorna station can be reached by the Malpensa Express train line.  Trains heading to San Remo depart from the Central Station, reachable by taxi, bus or subway in just a few minutes.
